Like novel writers, music composers can sometimes have an unusually good writing streak. I had one of these when I wrote Carnival Rag. Once the tune for the first section came into my head and I wrote it down, the rest of the piece came together very quickly, and the entire piece was finished after just one day. Most of the pictures in the video are from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA, which is my personal favorite amusement park.
