Writing piano ragtime music was part of my foray into music composition, and Augusta Rag was the first piano rag I wrote. I named it after Augusta, GA, which is where I was living at the time. The style of this piece is inspired by the famous ragtime composer Scott Joplin and my own father Larry Sue. The pictures in the video for it are pictures of various places in Augusta.
